Scope of Works

A reinforced concrete structure 64 feet x 42 feet to accommodate 3 No. fire tenders and also facilities for firemen.
A 16 feet wide paved access road linking the fire station to the Airport Runway including parking and turning areas.
Reinforced concrete underground water storage tank 15,000 gallons capacity and elevated storage tanks 3,000 gallons capacity.
A Non Directional Beacon site complete with NDB Building and 2 No. 70 feet wood pole antenna with guying system and associated electrical works.
A solar powered obstruction light and helicopter landing pad located on adjacent hill at elevation 735 feet.









	BEEF ISLAND FIRE STATION May 1988 – February 1989: Construction of a Fire Hall and Associated Works at Beef Island Airport - Tortola, British Virgin Islands Client: Government of The British Virgin Islands This project, which involved the construction of a new Fire Station and associated works, was designed to withstand severe hurricane conditions. The fact that it stood up to the ravages of Hurricane ‘HUGO’ pays tribute to the high standards of design, materials and workmanship integrated into the structures.
