Scope of Works

The Service Station is the first of its kind to be constructed in Tobago.

The project entailed the Construction of a Quik Shoppe Building and a Pump Station, which includes the following elements:

v  Installation of Tiling and Roofing.

v  Paving of Compound.

v  Installation of Concrete Block walls.

v  Installation of Doors, Windows, Partitions and Ceiling.

v  Installation of Sewer line, Manholes and Grease Traps.

v  Construction of Retaining Wall.

v  Construction of Pump Canopy.

v  Construction of Box Drain and Grating; Kerb and Slipper Drain.

v  Structural Steel.

v  Electrical and Air-conditioning.

v  Plumbing.

 

Plymouth Bridge

January 2005 - June 2006: Plymouth Bridge - Tobago

Client: Ministry of Works and Transport, Highways Division

Consultant: Lee Young & Partners/Roughton International

 

Scope of Works

This project included the construction of a 25 metre span bridge at Plymouth over the Courland River and a reinforced concrete Box Culvert at Studley Park. This required 9 No. 22 tonnes Precast Prestressed 25 metres long AASHTO Type III beams.

It commenced with the construction of a temporary bridge and demolition of the old steel truss bridge and its foundation.

It was decided by TCL senior personnel to Design and Build in-house the formwork for the AASHTO III beam casting, together with a portable elemental frame capable of withstanding 450 tonnes compression load to accommodate safely the stressing of 28 No. half inch strands to 31,000 pounds load to facilitate the construction of the beams on site.
